I doubt a White guy will say nigger specially to a dude like the one in the picture.The time I spent in the U.S since age 14 to 18 almost 19 I never Heard a White or Asian other races say nigger to a black guy. Did hear it between blacks though. Plus I never actually give a shit what the other person looked like. Just never entered into my thought process, if he´s a good dude then great or dudess, if not I´ll call them ut regardless of skin colour and will be quite vocal about it. Little scares me actually, taking down dudes as big as that guy in the pic, so fuck it. I have always looked at the individual and trust me being from Spain you don´t see many blacks here, you do see too many Marrocans selling dope in my town though. But when I got to the U.S, I just never thought twice about the race issue, until the teachers brought it up and got the students into discussions. I bet that if the teachers didn´t bring it up, we could care less for the most of us. I hanged out with black dudes, Brown dudes, crakers, Little asian dudes, we stereotype each other in good fun and I was the “torero” or bullfighter since I´´m from Spain. But going back, if people would for the most part move on ( I like this Ben Carson guy), and not have people keep stirring the dirt things will go much better. Just my humble opinión. I´m not humble but the opinión is.
I live in SF, I hear it often, these liberals are not as opened minded as you think. I actually heard it more here than when I lived in the midwest, which is more conservative. And yes they did say nigger and worst. I disagree that if teachers didn’t bring it up kids would not think about it, because most people are brought up and raised to have certain views.
In Frisco! lIved there my time in the U.S. I did call it to my liberal friends “The communist Republic of California”, pissed them off a bit.
I guess you are right, but for example for me, my parents never talked to me about races, so for me when I got there it was well, look an black guy bullshiting me or having a fun joke with me, just didn´t give much thought about race. But Little by Little as teachers pushed us to debate it seemed that I felt a bit less comfortable, like walking on eggs because if I said this or that the other person from another race could take it the wrong way. So you become too conscious about it, still and up to this date with the marrocans here, I keep up with the stereotype jokes and other times we talk about serious things, guess it all comes down (for me) to the person. Period.
