Meet Moziah Bridges he is the the 13 year old CEO of Mo’s Bow Ties. He started making bow ties when he was only nine years old and with the help and guidance of his mother, in four years he has grown that hobby into a successful business.

Chicago born “conscious” hip hop artist and urban intellectual Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, better known by his on stage persona of Lupe Fiasco, is now becoming an activist, recently he co-founded a non-profit organization with his partner Di-Ann Esinor in Brownsville, Brooklyn to help creative and innovative inner-city youth get involved in entrepreneurship and assist them in forming their own startups.
The mission statement of the nonprofit is: “a neighborhood-specific fund to support entrepreneurs and start-ups from under-served areas,” and to “provide access, network, workshops, mentoring and of course funding.”
The nonprofit will be based out of the Dream Big Foundation’s new entrepreneurship center and cafe starting in January 2016.

A throwback to the days of Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey, local bay area activist out of East Oakland California, Shawn Wolf hopes to accomplish with his charity the “Bay area black community” what his two predecessors could not, and that’s group economics and a thriving middle class in the African-American community.
On his website Wolf states: “The Bay Area Black Community is dedicated to the economic empowerment, education & training of the Black African extended family…. including our history; with emphasis on re-establishing our kinship to one another! ”
Wolf’s organization is only about a year old and they have already started to impact the economically disenfranchised East Oakland black community, holding their first Town Hall meeting and Job Fair at William Chapel Missionary Baptist Church February 28, 2015 , with plans for a second event on May 16, 2015.
