President Barack Obama, on December 16, 2016, signed legislation that will get rid of time limitations on civil rights cases that happened prior to 1970. This will allow cold cases that happened during the Jim Crow era, to be reopened by local, state and national law enforcement officials.
This is an expansion on a bill titled the Emmett Till Unsolved Civil Rights Crime bill. The bill was originally introduced in 2005, by activist Alvin Sykes. He named the proposed bill after Till, after he promised Till’s mom that he would have the case of her son ( who was brutally lynched and murdered for allegedly whistling at a white woman in 1955) reopened. The lynching of the 14 Till, by two white men who would ultimately be found not guilty by a racist all-white jury, is believed by many to be the last straw the sparked the civil rights movement.
In 2008, the bill was made into law.

As a black man I’m still trying to figure out when America was so great, less “crapppy” yes, but great, I’m not so sure.
I’m like in 1920’s there were mass lynchings.
In1960’s the Assassination of our civil rights leaders and the sabotaging of the civil rights movement by the FBI’s counter intelligence program ( cointelpro ).
The 1980’s Reagan’s war on Drugs, destroyed the black community, by throwing tens of thousands of blacks in prison for the same drugs his buddy Oliver North allowed to be brought into America.
hmm maybe the 1990’s, oh wait, Bill Clinton’s mass incarceration laws , his welfare reform, the NAFTA and trade deal with China, that help destroy the middle class and made blacks, even poorer by sending away American jobs to foreign countries .
Crap maybe the 2000’s first black president Barack Obama , oh wait more unarmed blacks were killed by suspected racists on Obama’s presidency, than during George “Forest Gump ” Bush and yet Mr. Black president, said almost nothing about the white supremacist attacks on blacks.
Darn, I have to find out this time America was great for everyone no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion , etc.

The 2008 election of Barack Obama, America’s first African-American President, and the current economic instabilities America now faces, has given new life to white supremacist terrorist groups. As of 2014 , according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, there were almost a thousand active hate groups in the United States. And with white supremacist propaganda on the Internet, indoctrinating a new generation of angry white youth, white supremacist terrorism has spread beyond organized white hate groups, like the lone wolf suicide bomber, in some desert in the Middle East, America has recently seen her own form of lone wolf terrorism, perfect example is Dylann Roof, who on june 17, 2015, assassinated nine innocent African-American people, including South Carolina state Senator Clementa C. Pinckney, at the Emanuel African Methodist Episopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, and unfortunately in the near future the Southern Poverty Law Center believes that lone wolf and white terrorism as collective is on the rise in America.
So be vigilant and prepare yourself, tactically and strategically to be ready if the shit goes down.
