  1. Yes , Leon, I did know that. They had to dig up the Union soldiers buried in a mass grave but they also had to rebury them and then they marched together to honor them. It was a beautiful thing to learn. I am humbled by them.

    I must that it is always great to hear about the contributions of our “Black Ancestors.” It would be really great if the school systems included these contributions and those of other races besides “Caucasian,” into the curriculum, giving not only our “Black children but all children ” an outlook of others ancestral background. By doing it may eliminate that attitude of one race feeling they are more superior of another thus eliminating racism. Just a thought. LP
