I have to agree on this one, Africa has been always, at least up to the middle of the last century been colonised by Europe, the Germans in WW2, France has big interest over there as well as my country Spain. Maybe I left out some countries out there. And this past year the French as well as the Spanish had combat troops in one of the countries of Africa fighting some rebels. Don´t know what they hell this rebels where fighting for or what country or what government of dictator, but the point being is that yes, the Frenchy although I know a lot of the Americans say they are sort of a wussy, well when it´s in their interest as well as the Spanish in this case, they won´t hesitate to throw in combat troops. You won´t see it on the news, since ofcourse the top dog is the U.S and if the U.S does anything out there it´s inmediately on the news, makes the ratings go up. And we forget that other countries out there are actually doing the same or even worst, and all in self interest. We can argue if it´s good or bad meddling in other countries bussiness but that´s beside the point. Point is that all countries do it.
Well at least the superpowers do it, colonialism may have changed in name but not in action. In the past whenever an inspirational leader like KWAME NKRUMAH or Patrice Lumumba would attempt to unite AFRICA, the west, would either support a coup or just have the leader killed!
